Right now, it's a time of uncertainty. I don't know what's going to happen with anything that's going on in my life. I'm still having my migraines, but I'm learning how to cope with them better. I'll be at USC for another semester, against my wishes, but... sometimes you need to do these things. And that's okay.

I've been doing a lot of reading lately. I'm in the middle of Equus, a play by Peter Schaffer. I just finished Different Seasons by Stephen King. Short stories are growing on me; I appreciate the compactness of the plotting. Also, I read Ender's Game for the first time. Interesting, but the end was disappointing. Evidently I need to read more sci-fi; I concur, but I think I still prefer Margaret Atwood, even though the two are not mutually exclusive, ie The Handmaid's Tale. (Run, do not walk to the nearest bookstore to buy The Edible Woman.)

Michelle, Jonesy, Jon Levine, and Logan are going to Houston for a film festival next weekend. I was asked to recommend restaurants - it's the one thing I'm good at! If any Houstonians are reading this, what are your favorite places around Greenway Plaza and Meyer Park? I'm thinking Pappadeaux, the Hobbit Cafe, Canton Seafood, Goode Company BBQ, and Saltgrass Steakhouse, to name a few. Houston has SUCH amazing food, and for such reasonable prices! I also said that the Galleria is a must-visit place. I'll put together a nice little guidebook for them. I really like Houston a lot; I'm looking forward to spending the summer in my hometown.

I don't see a lot of my friends - I must apologize. These health issues have really taken me out of commission. Really, the only people that see a lot of me are those who live on my floor.

Oh, and Max? Look who's back...

To be honest, Max probably doesn't care. He's much too busy being a bookworm to note the resurrection of other lumbrici. The following image represents all I see of him...

Now I understand my father's frustration during my childhood. Oh, well. I just ignore him and do my own reading.

Also, why is everyone on my floor cutting hair into mohawks? Look at this picture. I think it has something to do with a film that Logan was making. But Dalton and Eric look pretty hardcore.

And how is the rest of the floor reacting? Much like Freddie, I believe... in shock.

By the way, I didn't get very many good pictures of Las Vegas. However, I was rather proud of this snapshot of the Bellagio ceiling. O was amazing, by the way. Magical.

I'll have more news in the upcoming days. But this is a good update for now.
