Thank you for talking to me today.

You're a rock in my life. You've been there for years, long after most people would forget. Whenever I hear your voice, my mood lifts and my outlook changes. Your perspective is always refreshing, unique... and welcome.

I hope you know how much you mean to me.

All the best,
Jen

Does anyone want to clean my room for me?

Please?

::crickets chirp::

Or do my laundry?

Puh-lease?

::chorus of crickets::

Oh, well. It was worth a try.

Okay, I'm back. I took a bit of a hiatus... because I can.

I still don't feel like saying much, but I wanted to post pictures of my hair, especially since I promised that I would.

That's me in the bathroom of our luxurious hotel in Chicago. The Hyatt Regency rocks! Oh, yeah, and this is short hair after a long day of flying. You see? It still looks good.

This is me in the Hard Rock Cafe in Chicago, along with Anna, the flute section leader. It's a blurry picture, so you can't see my hair as well. However, if you can make it out, this is what my hair looks like when I've bothered to blow dry it.

And this is me in Seattle... with a cow. Why a cow? Well, there are longstanding drummer (and band, but mostly drummer) jokes about Silks being cows. While I admit, traditionally, colorguards tend to be hefty, this year, the silk section... isn't so fat. However, the name stuck. The Friday before the U-dub game, I was walking around Seattle with my good friend Jill, a drummer, and ... well, I have a sense of humor. Plus, I think my hair looks kick-ass in this photograph.

There ya go. Stop complaining about the lack of photographs.
