The Pianist...
I finally saw it. Wow.
It was moving, without being sappy. It was intensely real, without manipulating emotions. When Wladyslaw was removed from the events in the street, I was also removed. This was a movie about him, and we saw the suffering and pain through his eyes. Roman Polanski did an amazing job of reinforcing this idea through his camera work and editing. The Academy was correct in its assessment of this film.
I went with Lea and Nicole - it was nice hanging out with them. It's been a long time... aka, January of 2002, when we last hung out as a group. I liked it.
